Chloramphenicol eye ointment – used to treat bacterial eye infections. Chloramphenicol works by helping to kill the bacteria which are causing the infection.
Chloramphenicol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic providing rapid clinical response and having therapeutic activity against susceptible strains of a number of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms including Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Streptococcus haemolyticus.
For the topical treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis in dogs and cats caused by pathogens susceptible to Chloramphenicol.
